    Description

      Issue Summary

If you have a Word document with a numbered list in Roman numerals (i, ii, iii), Confluence does not render this properly once the document is imported to Confluence. The numbered list gets changed to 1, 2, 3 instead.

This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Word document and insert a numbered list using Roman numerals
      2. In Confluence, open any page and click on '...' > Import Word document to import the file.

      Expected Results

The numbered list should appear as expected:

      i. First item
      ii. Second item
      iii. Third item

      Actual Results

The numbered list gets replaced by normal numbers.

      1. First item
      2. Second item
      3. Third item

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
