Issue Summary

Steps to Reproduce

Creating a table in edit mode on a confluence page. Let's say the table is 10x12.

1) Enable "EDIT" mode on the page.

2) Insert a table of any dimension. (Let's say the table is 10x12.)

3) Populate some of the rows and columns with text or numbers (no URLs, no images, no macros).

4) Within the same table. Merge 2 or more empty cells together. Merged 2-row x 2-columns into a single cell.

5) Within the same table. Copy the content of "X" populated cells (highlight cells + Ctrl+C) and paste (highlight a cell in the table + Ctrl + V).

Scenarios: 

• 1 single populated cell (works!)

• 2 populated cells on a row or a column (does not paste the content of the cells)

• 3 populated cells on a row or a column (does not paste the content of the cells)

Likewise, it does work for some random 10 cells sometimes, especially when you save the page and edit it again - it works once again the next time copy paste won't work.

It seems that after a merging of cells is done. Copying and pasting of cells are disabled.

I tried to reproduce this same behaviour on our Central Confluence instance ( v7.17.0 ) but that version works fine. I cannot reproduce the error there.

Expected Results

Will be able to copy all the contents of the cells to other cells in edit mode.

This was tried in 7.17.0 and worked fine.

Workaround

Upgrade to Confluence 7.14.0 or above, as this issue is not replicable in these versions
