User macros are the quickest way to deploy things like 'under construction' tags or other more paramaterized shorthands for more complicated wiki constructs to open up advanced functionality to a broader user base, or to specify default parameters to highly parameterized user macros in order to encourage a consistent look and feel
User macros are not obvious to users because they do not appear in the Notation Guide.
Please add a section to the user macro definition screen (or wiki page, as asked for in CONF-7824) which permits inclusion of brief documentation in the notation guide.
