Search does not find pages

      confluence standalone 2.3 on linux jdk 5

      We have page-titles like APP-SRV1, WEB-SRV2, WEB-SRV3, DB-SRV5.
      Searching for "srv*" does NOT find them, but it is very critical for us to have a reliable search!
      I get a lot of questions of our users regarding this problem!
