The "whitelist" function needs renaming to "allowlist". "Allowlist" is a more accurate term for the function. "Whitelist" comes out of the connotation that "white" = "good" and "black" = "bad".  Changing to "allowlist" removes this hurtful comparison and puts Atlassian on the same footing as companies such as Google and Intuit who are actively removing racist language from their documentation and interfaces.
