Our Jira instance is synchronized with three User Directories in three different domains that means they in different countries.
So we faced an issue when user with username 'Jack' has moved from one country to another, thus his new account was created in another domain with the same username 'Jack'.
As we know Jira sync multiple directories one by one from the top. So when it find username in the first directory it does ignore the same username from second directory.
So 'Jack' was not able to login Jira until we renamed his account in the first directory to 'Jack2').
(FYI https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/managing-multiple-directories-938847057.html)
Would it be possible to improve working with multiple directories so users won't have issues when they try to login from another directory?
Thank you!
