The nightly backups are a very important part of ensuring that critical information is not lost. Therefore, it is very important for the confluence instance administrator to be aware of problems when they happen, particularly problems with the backup process.

It would be great if an email were sent to the administrator if the daily backup failed. An alternative / additional notification could be a message presented to the use upon login.
