One point about Rich Text vs Wiki Markup: the Rich Text editor has its own ideas about exactly how formatting markup should be inserted - using it on pages that have been marked up manually can throw the diff functionality off quite badly, making it look as if there are lots of changes and drowning out the one or two tiny ones that actually matter.

There are many individual issues for changes to the markup that come about when somebody edits it with the rich text editor. They are mostly incorporated by CONF-6992
