It would really be nice if Attachments would go to the Trash when the are removed instead of actually being deleted.
We like to give our users as much control over Confluence as possible, but the fact that we would have to restore an inadvertently deleted attachment from backup means that we cannot grant the right to remove attachments in the same way that we can grant the right to remove pages. As a workaround we create a "Trash" page in each space that attachments can be moved to for eventual deletion, but this is an unintuituve kludge.
