Happens with any environment I've tried. Even http://confluence.atlassian.com
NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Confluence, especially the dashboard is very slow to load on Firefox when using the Google toolbar with its "subscribe" feature enabled. See the attached image. With "subscribe" disabled Firefox is just as fast as IE. This problem does not happen with all websites that have RSS feeds so it's not specific to the Google toolbar.

The original issue is a "feature" of the toolbar – it downloads all the RSS feeds linked from the page before displaying it. It can be quite slow to download a large RSS feed from Confluence, which is why the page is slow to appear.
Can anyone confirm whether recent versions of the Google toolbar continue to exhibit this problem?
