We just upgraded from 2.2.6a to 2.2.8 so I don't know if this was a problem before or not. We've set up LDAP integration which is working successfully. Initially it was not so I added a handfull of LDAP users to the confluence-users group. Now that it is set up I want to remove them from that and assign permissions based on LDAP (Active Directory) membership.

So I find a user in the manage users.
      Click Edit Groups
Highlight the confluence-users group (which is the only non-LDAP group they are in) and click Leave
The Group moves over to the "Not a member of groups" side
When I use the "Return to view user" link it still shows them as being in a group. Also if I go all the way out and view them again they are still members.

I will attach some screen shots.
