Manage Groups lists groups from LDAP and Confluence in a meaningless way

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

All the groups from one repository are listed, then all the groups from the other. This is due to the way that the MergedPager operates.

Really they should be interleaved as necessary to appear in alphabetical order, or something similar. If this isn't possible (perhaps due to LDAP limitations), close this issue as "Won't Fix".

The ordering is now alphabetical. You should also be able to go to the last page because the group management page uses the standard pagination control.

Please raise a separate issue if this is still an issue post-3.5.

I have LDAP providing users and groups, but I also intend to allow space-managed groups. I have 20+ pages of groups to wade through because:

            1) there is no 'last' button to get to the end
            2) there is no 'filter' text to key in a partial match for the group I'm looking for.
            3) there is no ability to only show confluence groups rather than LDAP groups.

#1 would be surely easy to add, #2 would be useful and #3 would be better.

I also found that when using LDAP the paging only shows for the LDAP list. Then when you are on the last page there is a next button to go to the Conlfuence repository list. So if you have 4 pages of LDAP groups (this applies to users as well) and 1 page of Confluence ones then you can only see links for 1 through 4 until you do a Next operation on the last page.
