Page restrictions based on group names should be case-insensitive

XMLWordPrintable

Upon restricting access to a page, a group name has to be entered. Upon viewing a restricted page, the groups a logged-in user belongs to are checked against the group entered to restrict access to.

Currently, comparison of a user's groups to the entered one appears to be case sensitive.

That is very non-intuitive, especially when you are faster entering group names by hand (disregarding capitalization) than by click-selecting them. Even more, if the group names are defined outside Confluence. Also, it creates confusion and support issues.

Please change comparison of group names upon restricting access to pages to be non-case-sensitive.
