Resolution: Fixed
Hi to Atlassian,
upon clicking on the thumbnails (or "view as slideshow") generated by the gallery macro a new window pops up and displays the image in full size.
Showing the full size image is very inconvenient for large images, which then spans multiple physical screen sizes. Resiszing the window doesn't resize the image but instead shows only a smaller part of it. Also, the next image opened is shown again at full size, requiring the whole resizing clicking again, but to no avail anyway. Effectively, Confluence can not be adequately used for the display of large images.
Is it possible to either create a new window at most to the current screen size holding an image resized (either by the browser or to a pre-defined size) to that window size?
To my experience this is a standard functionality in other galleries I have seen (Gallery(2), Coppermine, ...).
There is also a JavaScript script floating around on the 'net to do the resizing and overlay thing in the browser yuck: "Lightbox JS" http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/.
It would suit Confluence very well to include resizing functionality to enhance usability and make it an even more worthwhile experience.
Thanks for your great product anyway,
Torge Schmidt
