I often use a Jira filter to create tables on Confluence, and would like to personalize the display options. I would like to be able to easily modify the order of "Columns to display" under "Display options". If I want to change which column is shown first, the only way I've found to do this is to delete the other columns then add them back in the order I want them displayed. This is not user friendly if there are many columns or I simply want to change the order of the columns. A "drag and drop" feature to change the order of the "Columns to display" would be excellent.

Example shown here where I wrote up the issue in the Atlassian Community forums:

[CONFSERVER-60858] "Drag and drop" to change order of "Columns to display" in Jira filter

+1 for the topic and I have another problem with sorting in chart/filters.

I have a Two Dimensional chart with Statuses and Assignee and I want to change the order of the Status columns in the Jira Chart in the same way how it is in my workflow. The sorting is currently random: grey, green, and other statuses are just mixed together. It’s not even alphabetical. It’s such a pain not having this possibility.

The possible way is to buy a plugin which is not possible for me because of the company policies.

            The problem is still relevant

This is so annoying that this does not work. Please implement!

I don't understand why this doesn't exist already.  Building reports in confluence is hard enough.  It seems like a great feature intern to knock out in an afternoon.

Another simple QOL feature that has been requested years ago with no activity. Such is life as a Jira admin...

I agree. Ideally, we'd be able to drag to rearrange the columns themselves, like we can do in a filter in Jira search. Barring that, it would be nice to be able to drag and drop the column names in the text field we're given. At the very least, being able to move the cursor to a specific spot in the list would be good.

This is a royal pain that comes up often.  Even if drag/drop isn't enabled if we could insert the columns were we wanted in the list that would be good enough.

Who would design it so that to reorder you need to delete all and then add them all back? Please allow dragging and dropping or at least move the cursor to a place in the list so we can add mid list.

I concur.  This is a huge pain.

Don't understand why this has only 10 votes. It's something I run into almost daily.

Are we really that rare in wanting to reorder those columns easily?

EDIT: found a dupe, albeit with just a few votes more. CONFSERVER-36882
