Suggestion

Currently, unable to drag/drop emails into Confluence's pages in some instances, this feature is not fully implemented in the Confluence Data Center Product. The envelope icon disappears when dragging on the Confluence page. or recently we noticed some scenarios below:

We’ve identified an issue affecting drag-and-drop of emails from Outlook into Confluence when using Microsoft Edge.

What’s affected

• Confluence version: 9.2.12 and 9.2.13

• Browser: Microsoft Edge 142.0.3595.80

• Email client: Outlook 2408

In this combination, dragging an email from Outlook onto a Confluence page appears to do nothing:

• No upload dialog or progress indicator

• No error message

• No attachment is created

PS : It also doesn't work with Chrome browser - 143.0.7499.192/193

What still works / Workaround

The same operation works in the following cases:

• Confluence 9.2.13 + Outlook 2408 + Firefox

• Confluence 9.2.4 + Outlook 2408 + Edge 142.0.3595.80

Recommendation

Officially add the capability to Confluence allow MS Outlook to drag/drop emails into Confluence.
