We have different dialects in English, such as the American and Brittish, which there are some words that are spelled different. However, Confluence doesn't understand that natively and you need to use tilde (~) for the Lucene to recognize.
Confluence to recognize words spelled different, such as:
- Organize vs Organise
- Center vs Centre
- Favorite vs Favourite
- Behavior vs Behaviour
Just small examples above.
Users coming from different nationalities won't need to use the fuzzy search to find the content as the one who wrote the document.
Use tilde (~) when searching for words that might have a different spelling.
