Word Export of historical page versions

Summary

Confluence does not have an option to export page from history as Word

Steps to reproduce

Tested on Confluence 7.3.5

1) Created new page
2) Edit content
3) Opened Info->View page history and clicked on first version of document
4) There is no option to 'Export to Word'

Workarounds

These are some potential workarounds.

• Pasting the PageID of the old page version into the URL "https://example.com/exportword?pageId=<>" works like a charm. So all that needs to be done is to include this button in the "three dots menu (...)" when viewing old page versions.
• The simplest is to restore to the previous version you want to export, perform the export, and then restore back to the current version.
• If you would like a record of all the previous versions you have printed, or you do not want to alter your version history which restores just for printing you could also copy the previous version to a new space when viewing them:

  1. Create a new space - eg; Old Versions
  2. View the page to export - published version
  3. View page history
  4. Click on a previous version to view it
  5. Now copy to the new space
  6. Export to word from the new space

You can delete these restores if you do not want it cluttering your history.
