• There are currently some known problems with an XML file from Confluence as the one described in our 'Incorrect string value' error thrown when restoring XML backup in Confluence document, for example. Those types of problems are very time-consuming for our customers.

Suggested Solution

• Create an alternative to clean the XML files of Confluence from known problems with them before attempting to import them in another Confluence instance.

Why this is important

• This can avoid quite a few cases where there is an incorrect data in the XML file itself.

• Follow the workarounds of each document available.
