Description
In our Confluence system, we have many instances where users will start editing documents, but never completes them ("publish"). As a result, there are many "orphan" drafts left around.
This is confusing for users who would like to edit a page where there is an old draft. We had many situations where users start editing a page with old draft (sometimes > 2 years old, where the original posted already left the company), and are being prompted to accept/reject the draft. In most cases, users do not know how to proceed, worried that the draft may be important.
Asking for a feature on the "Space Tools" ... "Content Tools" to purge drafts based on age.
It will be nice to have the following
- Allow the (space) administrator to send notification to all owners of drafts above certain age.
- Be able to setup a policy that will automatically purge old draft, without admin actions, based on configuration parameters (N=max age of drafts).
I believe change will make it significantly easier to handle the above situation.
