Summary

As a System Admin or Auditor
I want to have a history of when users logged in, and when their user names had login attempts failed
So that I can track successful and failed login attempts per user and Confluence instance

Problem Definition

Customer is looking for ways to list a history of all the times users login successfully, and also when the login for that user fails (due to wrong password or account disabled, for instance).
Currently Audit Log and Access Logs do not provide that level of details.

Suggested Solution

Audit log could be improved to contain that information.

Workaround

Options for that could be (although both unsupported):

• 3rd party SAML software could provide this kind of information
• Customizing the login screen to record that information
