Description
Issue Summary
When editing a page and it is tried to insert an Emoticon using the Emoticon menu, no Emoticon is inserted.
Environment
- Confluence 6.15.9
- Ubuntu 16.04
- Chrome, Firefox and Safari
Steps to Reproduce
When editing a page, select the Insert more content option and enter the Emoticon menu.
- Go to any page and access the editor
- Open Insert more content at the top bar and enter the Emoticon menu
- If the HipChat plugin is fully disabled, this is the menu exhibited:
- Try inserting any Emoticon
Expected Results
The Emoticons are inserted in the page. It was suppose to work without the need of enabling any plugin, specially when integration with HipChat is being discontinued.
Actual Results
The page remains unchanged and no emoticon is inserted.
Workaround
Enable the HipChat plugin again:
- Go to General configuration > Manage Apps
- Click the dropdown menu in the center and select All Apps
- Locate and enable Confluence HipChat Emoticons Plugin
- Go to any page and access the editor
- Open Insert more content at the top bar and enter the Emoticon menu
- This the menu exhibited now:
The dialogue box will be telling the users "...Confluence is not integrated with Hipchat. Please contact your administrator for integration.", which can be inconvenient.
