When I go from edit mode to preview, frequently formatting characters are backslashed. In this example an attached image (which I was not even editing at the time) was backslashed:
Before edit (Wiki Markup):
Preview: The image has now vanished and been replaced by this:
Wiki Markup after looking at Preview:

I just stared playing with Confluence this morning, and this has happened to me 3 times, twice with attached images and once with a line encoded as bold (which changed to *bold* after a preview). I haven't seen this bug listed elsewhere. For us it would be a show stopper, it's crippling to an easily editable wiki of editing it can randomly destroy the formatting, so I hope there is a simple solution because I'm trying to talk my group into using a Wiki (possibly Confluence) for our next project.
Thanks.
