Problem Definition

If more than one user is editing an Office file with the Atlassian Companion, multiple versions of the document shouldn't be created as the other version isn't incorporating any changes of another user. Either being able to merge changes from multiple users or lock files when editing would fix this issue.

Workaround

There is a 3rd party plugin available (Cenote Lockpoint) which offers the ability to lock documents while they’re being edited.
