The current 500 page lists a number of different options to explore how to 'solve' the error. However, in a large organisation with a large non-technical population this error message isn't helpful at all.
In an effort to streamline this message (and to enhance security) the 'Show system information on the 500 page' must be turned off. However this still reveals a lot of internal workings of the application to the end-user and confuses the non-technical end-user. The actual error I (as support) retrieve from the log files.
I would like this 500 error page to be (somehow) configurable so that I can tell the end-users to either create a ticket in a specific Jira project, log a ticket in our Jira Service Desk, to send an email or to call the (internal) helpdesk.
