Issue Summary

Users that are mentioned, via @ mention, in a blog post that contains a link to a Confluence Page, will receive notification (email and workbox), when that page is renamed (changing Page title) although the blog post itself was not changed.

Environment

Confluence instance with 3 user accounts and a Space already created.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Using User A, create a blog post; add a link to Space home page but with a different text and @ mention User B;
2. Login as User B and open workbox → there are notifications about  "1 new mention" in the blog post;
3. Login as User C and watch the blog post;
4. Login as User A and rename the Space home page;
5. Login as User B and open workbox → there will be new notifications about "1 new mention" in the blog post;
6. Login as User C and open workbox → there are no notifications about changes in the blog post.

Expected Results

There should be no notifications for User B, like there are none for User C.

Actual Results

User B gets notifications about "1 new mention" when there was no such change in the blog post. When users have email notification enabled, they will also receive an email. These notifications are misleading and incorrect.

Notes

This same wrong behaviour is not observed when doing the same steps on a Page, instead of a blog post. Notification is not sent to @ mentioned users when a linked page is renamed.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
