Problem statement
There are instances where a Space is accidentally removed from Confluence without the administrator knowing that this action is irreversible. This is mentioned on Can I restore a recently deleted page or space?.
The only way to restore the Space again would be to use an external site/space XML backup, or a DB dump, which is a cumbersome process just for a single space to be restored to Confluence again.
Suggestion
Similar to deleted Pages, allow deleted Spaces to have its own "trash" in the administration console where an administrator can restore/recover.
Workaround
Restore the most recent backup on a non-Production environment, export the deleted Space and restore it the affected environment (Production, QA etc).
