Description
Summary
Adding Jira Issue Macros to Confluence pages can sometimes result in the macro being placed in unexpected locations
Environment
- Confluence connected to Jira via app link
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new page
- Add a table to Confluence (3 rows or 4 with a header, 2 columns)
- Add a Jira Issue Macro for a single issue to the first row and first column
- Click in the third row and first column to place your cursor
- Use the + to add a Jira Issue Macro for a single issue
Expected Results
The macro is placed at the current cursor location
Actual Results
The macro is placed in the first row/column, as shown below:
Notes
It seems that this only affects macros added via the + option in the Confluence editor toolbar. Pasting a link to a Jira issue always seems to work, and placing a macro via '{' seems to work (I could not replicate using that test).
Workaround
- Copy and paste the URL of Jira Issues
- Use the '{' keyboard shortcut to place a Jira Issue macro instead of the + option in the toolbar
