Issue Summary
When importing a word document with tiff images, the images are not present in the resulting Confluence page.
Environment
- Confluence 6.13.4
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a word document with some text
- Add a few tiff images to the word document
- Save the word document as .docx
- Import the word document to Confluence:
Expected Results
Embedded tiff images display in Confluence in the same manner they appear in the document.
Actual Results
Embedded tiff images are not imported during the .docx word doc import process, and thus do not display on the newly created Confluence page.
Workaround
- Open the existing .docx word document in Microsoft Word.

- Perform a File > Save-as
- Select the file type ".doc (word 97-2004 document)"
- Import the .doc file and the tiff images will be present
On OSX, using Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 (14.7.7) for the conversion was successful, but using Word 16.24 was not successful. On Windows, the same conversion from docx to doc was successful.
