Advanced Search defaults to custom type search if any content was searched prior to redirect

Issue Summary

Starting with Confluence 6.14, redirecting from quick Search to Advanced search via advanced search link, defaults to Custom Type instead of All content as it was prior to 6.14

Environment

• Confluence 6.14.* with new Quick Search

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add a comment on a page
2. Search for the same comment in quick search
3. Comment is not found as comments are excluded from default quick search as per statement in Search page.
4. Click Advanced Search to be redirected to Advanced Search

Expected Results

• Comment is found as Advanced search searched All Content types by default

Actual Results

• Comment is not found as Advanced Search switches to the Custom content type search that includes only Space, User, Page, Blog post and Attachment
  

Workaround

• Including Comments into Quick Search type, will include them into Advanced Search custom type search field
• Clicking Advanced Search link without typing anything into the search field will default to All Content in Advanced Search

Resolution

Upgrade to Confluence 6.15.1 or above
