Summary
On some Windows operating systems, after installing Atlassian Companion software, Companion can be used normally. Restart the system, Companion will not work properly, and the lower right tray has no Companion icon. The double-click desktop Companion shortcut can't be started either. It needs to be reinstalled before it can be used, and it needs to be reinstalled every time it restarts.
Steps to reproduce
- Start a Windows system with Companion App previously installed
- If the issue happens, the Companion App will not be able to be launched properly, as described above
- The exact causes or circumstances that cause this to happen are not known, as it is an intermittent issue.
Workarounds
Removing the previous Companion App directories and installing the application again makes it work correctly once more.
