Description
Summary
The restrictions dialogue has confusing language that indicates users can view and edit pages, even if they don't have space permissions. This can be confusing and misleading, even if the user understands the relationship between space permissions and restrictions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new space with space permissions to only be viewable by one user (user1, in this example)
- As user1, attempt to add any other user to the restrictions on a page in the new space.
Expected Results
Either one of the following:
- The dialogue would give a clear indication space permissions are required before restrictions.
- Users who do not have the appropriate space permissions would not be allowed to be added to the restrictions on a page.
Actual Results
Users without space permissions can be added to the restrictions, and the dialogue indicates users can view and edit the page, even if they don't have space permissions.
The screenshot below shows the restrictions for a page in a space that only Zak Laughton can view. However, the dialogue indicates "Everyone can view" and Amy Adams "Can edit".
