      Hi everyone,

      we are happy to announce that the ability to generate API tokens is already available in Confluence Server and Data Center version 7.9.0.

      The detailed documentation how to generate and use tokens is available here: Using Personal Access Tokens

      We value your feedback, you provided in comments for this ticket. Unfortunately we were not able to address all of it for this release. Therefore we compiled your suggestions into following tickets:

      Please watch those tickets for further updates. If you have other ideas how we could extend or improve this Personal Access Tokens, please raise a new feature suggestions for “Personal Access Token” component. We will review those suggestions in CY21 Q2.

      Problem Definition
      In Cloud, it is possible to create an API token for authentication. This is not possible in Confluence Server.

      Suggested Solution
      Provide an ability to generate a REST API token for Confluence Server
