      The fact that this isn't supported out of the box is crazy to me.  There really needs to be a way to support inline code.  

       

      I know that there are alternatives out there.  Tons of people are out there suggesting creating custom CSS blocks and all sort of other things like simply using monospaced text.

       

      Let me be clear, as a developer who's company is forcing me to use Confluence for documentation, this one thing makes me completely dislike the product.  I want to type some stuff between two back-ticks and have it let the reader know that this is code/command.

      Anything less than this for a technical documentation tool is unacceptable.
