    Description

      Problem Definition

Additional custom font can't be set for newly provisioned EC2 instance because CloudFormation template doesn't have option to install fonts.

      Suggested Solution

Quick Start template should have configurations to install fonts on EC2 for example in Advanced or Amazon EC2 Configuration section.

      Why this is important

Because non-English languages like Japanese or Chinese will be garbled for every newly provisioned EC2 instances without this feature.

      Workaround

Install fonts with following steps manually every time after EC2 instance provisioned.
Non-ASCII Characters display as square characters in Confluence
