It would help us curate our wiki if people could mark pages for deletion. Currently, we use labels for this purpose. The advantage of an explicit "This page should be deleted" option for users would be to more easily track who suggested the page should be deleted and to include a workflow to remove incoming links prior to deletion.
For example, as a basic user of the wiki (without the privilege to delete pages) who spots a page that is outdated and should be deleted, I could click on a "This page should be deleted" link/button and would then see the page marked for deletion with a warning that it has two incoming links that should be addressed. I could help remove those incoming links while waiting for an editor to come along later and delete the page.
It might be helpful to include this "mark page for deletion" feature for editors who have the privilege to delete pages, giving them the option to queue up pages for deletion as well.
