Confluence removing line break(s) after pasting SQL code in a Page/comment in IE browser

Summary

While pasting SQL code in Confluence Page from Internet Explorer, it removes line break.

Environment

Microsoft IE 11
Other browsers (checked - Firefox/Safari/Chrome) are not affected.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Page on Confluence in Internet explorer.
2. Copy paste any sql code in {noformat} or inside {code} or on page itself or in comment section. for example:

   SELECT
   d.active,
   d.id as DirectoryID,
   d.directory_name,
   d.directory_type,
