Summary

Non-admin users are unable to download attachments inside of an Answer, in Confluence Questions, when the question is attached to a space.

Additionally, admins and users are also unable to preview/download attachments attached to a Question in the Confluence Questions plugin when the question is attached to a space.

Environment

• Confluence 6.8.x, 7.4.x
• Confluence Questions 2.6.x, 2.7.x

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new question
2. After entering a title and body, click the drop-down in the top right to Ask in a space
3. Start typing out a space name, and select a space which appears
4. Assign a topic to the question
5. Click Save
6. Answer your test question above with some text
   • Before submitting the text answer, Click the Insert Link icon at the top of the editor to upload a file
   • Click Files on the left, then click Browse and upload a file
   • Click insert to attach the file to the question
7. Click Save to save the answer

Anyone can download the attachment from the answer:

Non-admin users cannot download attachments from the question, even if they have permissions to download attachments in the space to which the question is attached:

Workaround

This only seems to affect questions which are tied to space. Creating questions independent of a space does not seem to trigger this issue.
