    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

In Confluence our users doesn't have an option to remove the profile picture, or a function to return to the default one(when you don't have a profile picture).

Our customer asked some instructions of how to remove the profile picture since it doesn't have anything in the User Interface. The only way that we found was through the database by removing an row from the os_propertyentry table and a script created by another customer in the Atlassian Answer.

Confluence should have a "Delete" button as the 5.1.5 version has.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Go to your Profile page.
      2. Upload an image.
      3. Try to delete without uploading a new one.

      Temporary workaround

Upload a new or default picture.

This issue now should be considered important.

Since the GDPR took effect, it is mandatory to have proper solutions in place for users to allow them removal of personal data. In a statement of December 2017 Atlassian commited to make sure their products are GDPR compliant. Currently, this is not the case since the only option to remove a users picture is by deleting the entrys from the database.

This needs to be fixed asap to ensure we can follow current legislation procedures.
