Summary

When placing an anchor within an Expand Macro, the anchor will not lead to the correct location of the page. It will stay at the top of said page

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Create a page
      2. Insert and Expand Macro
      3. Place an anchor inside of said macro
      4. Publish page
      5. Go to another page
      6. Create link to previous anchor
      7. Publish page
      8. Click link to anchor

      Expected results

      • The link correctly redirects the user to said position in page

      Actual results

      • The link will redirect the user to the top of the page

      Workaround

      • Place the anchor right above the macro or below.

[CONFSERVER-55892] Anchors Do Not Work When Inside Expand Macro

How is it that a web-based product like Confluence disregards so much standard (and old) HTML conventional behaviour...? There are so many things Confluecne does well, but things like this - which it does badly - outweigh that.

Ran into this issue today and find it very frustrating that I can not anchor to specific aspects of with in an expand.

Would be really nice to have this gets fixed. The same issue is also present when using "link macro" inside an expand macro.

The anchor workaround above works. But the more serious problem is that the expand macro is not expanded!

Made the same experience and thought I was doing something wrong only to find out it is actually a bug... A fix would be great.

It works but if only when the macro is in the expanded state. This should be fixed.
