      Summary

When placing macros back to back the editor injects an erroneous line break that can be seen in the editor, however, if the line breaks are removed manually, it is not honored and will add spaces between them. When re-editing the page, the line breaks are added automatically again, and still adding the spaces when being saved. The issue does not happen should the automatic line breaks be left alone. This issue only appears to happen when Collaborative Editing is enabled.

      Environment

      • Confluence Server 6.1.0

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a new page.
      2. Add several Panel macros back to back, with sample text in each one.
      3. Remove the automatic Line Breaks between each Macro and save the page.

      Expected Results

There should be no line breaks when saving the page.

      Actual Results

      Lines breaks are added.

      Workaround

Currently, there are two different workarounds:

      1. Turn off Collaborative Editing
      2. Not removing the automatic line breaks that are added by the rich text editor. This can cause confusion, however, and is not always intuitive.
