Summary
After upgrading Confluence, editing certain pages can cause hyperlink formatting to be applied to text that precedes a real hyperlink. This only occurs when editing a page for the first time after an upgrade with Synchrony enabled.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Confluence 5.10.8
- Create a page
- Use the source editor to edit the page with storage_format.txt
- Save the page
- Upgrade Confluence to 6.7.2
- Edit the page
Expected Results
The page renders as it did in 5.10.8
Actual Results
Text formatting is changed to that of a hyperlink
Notes
- This only affects pages that existed BEFORE the upgrade. If you use the source editor to add the storage format after upgrade it does not replicate the issue.
- Reverting to the pre-edit version also does not allow you to replicate the issue. This will affect any page only once.
Solution
Use the built in formatting tools to change the text formatting.
