PDF Export of a large space can cause OutOfMemory exceptions

We fixed this bug (linked) in v 6.7.0 but based on our tests using large spaces it seems that OOME can still occur. So essentially that bug fix only helps prevent OOMEs longer than before (which is still good) but not sufficient to cover all cases.

We've made a bunch of improvements to how we export pages & spaces to PDF. Those improvements should help not only to stabilize PDF exports for both our Server & DC customers but also improve performance of the export process for large spaces.

Additionally, we're also using the External Process Pool (previously 'sandbox') for the PDF process (for Data Center customers) so that any unexpected failures can be isolated from Confluence, thus not resulting in a degraded/unstable export experience for our customers. Once available, please look at Confluence 6.12 release notes to know more about these changes. In the meantime you can learn more in Preparing for Confluence 6.12
