Copying Status Macro from view to edit mode results in strange behavior

Steps

1. Create a page with a status macro
2. Save the page
3. Copy the macro from view mode and edit the page.
4. Paste the macro

What should have happened

The editor should know that a status macro was pasted in and adjust itself. Should be able to edit the color of the macro.

What actually happened

The macro is pasted as-is, giving full editing of the text inside, but not being able to change the color of the macro. Also, editing the text can result in strange behavior depending on what's around it.
