Description
Summary
Sometimes, when creating Jira issues from highlighted text on a page, the Jira issue will be created but will not be linked on the page. Instead an error is displayed. This will only happen if creating multiple Jira issues (but one at a time).
Environment
- MySQL (5.6 and 5.7)
Steps to Reproduce
- Configure an application link between Confluence and Jira (I tested with 7.3.1)
- Create a page with text
- Highlight some text
- Create a Jira issue
- Repeat 3 and 4
Expected Results
Confluence will successfully create Jira issues and add them as Jira Issue Macro elements to the page
Actual Results
Randomly, but only after more than 1 issues have been added to the page Confluence will create the Jira issue but fail to add the Jira Issue Macro element to the page. On Confluence 6.1.x it will display a message:
On Confluence 6.5 and above it won't show the message, but the you will see that Jira Issue macro elements are not added to the page. See the following image that is missing TEST-22:
Notes
- This only occurs when Confluence attempts to reload the page automatically.
Solution / Workaround
Manually refresh Confluence pages after creating Jira issues from highlighted text.
