Can't login to Confluence on iOS Safari using mobile view

      Summary

      If you try to view a restricted page/space while accessing the site as an anonymous user, the site will prompt you to login on a pop-up menu. After keying in your credentials to login to the site, it throws an error message that says:

      Oops! Something went wrong. It's probably us, but it might be you. Check your network connection.

      Steps to replicate

      1. Grant anonymous access to the Confluence site.
      2. Grant anonymous access to a space.
      3. Create a page in the space and add a link to a page from a restricted space (i.e. a space where anonymous users can't access).
      4. Access Confluence on Safari on an iPhone and navigate to the page from step #3.
      5. Click on the link in the page.
      6. Enter your login credentials when prompted.

      Expected results

      User is successfully logged in and can view the page if he has the necessary permissions.
       

      Actual results

      The page loads for awhile and the user sees this error message:

      Workaround

      • Use Google Chrome browser on the iOS device.
      • Switch from Mobile view to Desktop view and login.
