Description
Summary
From chrome browser under Japanese IME environment, the first Japanese letter is duplicated when the next one is typed in an inline comment of Confluence page.
Environment
Chrome browser under Microsoft Japanese IME or Google Japanese IME.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the inline comment.
- Hit the Backspace key first.
- Type an alphabet letter in Japanese IME mode.
Let's use "a" here. (This shall be converted to "あ" by the Japanese IME)
- Type an alphabet letter in Japanese IME mode one more time.
Let's use "a" here again. (This shall be converted to "あ" by the Japanese IME)
Expected Results
The expected result of the Step 3 and 4 is "ああ". (equivalent to "aa")
Actual Results
The actual result of the Step3 and 4 is "あああ". (equivalent to "aaa")
The first letter is duplicated as "aa".
Note
This occurs on the inline comment to an attached pdf file as well.
Workaround
Two workarounds.
- Delete the affected letter with backspace and type the correct texts.
- Use alternative browser to chrome.
