Provide means to disable inline comments selectively

XMLWordPrintable

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

In certain areas inline comments don't make sense or would create page comments anyway, for example in macros that create dynamic content. An actual use case are the news feed macros in our Enterprise News Bundle (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.seibertmedia.confluence.enterprise-news-bundle/server/overview).

It would be great if we could disable inline comments somehow for our macro output, e.g., by adding a special CSS class or attribute to our macro container.
