    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Summary

When clicking on the Create button in Confluence, there are several options. You can create Blank Pages, Blog Posts, Questions, Calendars and a lot of different templates. There's no template to create a Page Tree though.

      Expectation

To have a template which would create a Page Tree based on the user input.

      Example

Let's assume that we have below hierarchy of pages to be created:

      Root
      1 - Alfa
      1.1 - Beta
      1.2 - Gama
      1.2.1 - Delta
      2 - Epsilon
      2.1 - Zeta
      3 - Eta
      3.1 - Theta
      3.1.1 - Lambda
      3.1.2 - Pi
      3.2 - Sigma

      Current Behaviour

We would need to create page by page, manually. Also, we would need to pay attention to the hierarchy when creating pages in order to create child pages under their parent pages to achieve our needs. It works, but represents lots of manual work depending on the user need.

      Expected Behaviour

To insert a tree structure like the one above in a Macro and chill-out while Confluence does all the work.

      Workaround

Currently, you can either add page by page and create its structure or you can use the Page Tree Creator Add-On.
