Prompt download link in search result instead of link to preview attachment when Confluence Preview macro disabled.

      STEP TO REPLICATE

      1. Navigate to Confluence Manage Add Ons > System
      2. Disable Confluence Preview system plugin.
      3. Search for any attachments in Confluence (PDF etc.)
      4. Click on the attachments link.

      ACTUAL BEHAVIOUR

      1. Confluence will navigate to the page containing the attachments as the attachment preview is disabled.
      2. The screenshot below shows that the link if pointing to the attachment preview:

      IMPROVEMENT NEEDED

      1. Prompt the download instead of navigating to the page containing the attachment as the attachment preview is disabled.

            We regret to inform you that due to limited demand, we have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now. Sometimes potentially valuable tickets do get closed where the Summary or Description has not caught the attention of the community. If you feel that this suggestion is valuable, consider describing in more detail or outlining how this request will help you achieve your goals. We may then be able to provide better guidance.
